Help keep PackTales on its feet.
PackTales is a small, independent project. If it has been useful on your walks and you want to chip in toward what it costs to run, this is the place — entirely optional, and never required to use anything in the app.
Where it goes
Maps and lookups
Every search, address and set of walking directions is a paid API call. This is the biggest running cost and it grows with every person who joins.
Servers and photos
Your walks, memories and dog photos live on storage we rent by the gigabyte, backed up and served back to you.
Keeping safety free
Lost dog alerts, live location sharing with friends and the emergency vet finder will never sit behind a payment. Donations are part of how we keep that promise.

We haven’t opened donations yet. If you’d like to support the project, email Shane9020@icloud.com and we’ll let you know when it’s live.
A donation is a gift, not a purchase. It doesn’t unlock features, remove anything, or come with perks. Everyone gets the same PackTales.
PackTales is a private business, not a registered charity, so donations are not tax-deductible and no tax receipt is issued.
Would you rather give to dogs directly?
Please do — and give it to a shelter, not to us. Open Explore in the app, switch to the Adopt tab, and you’ll find shelters, rescues and foster networks near you whose registration we’ve checked. Each one lists its own contact details so you can give to them directly.
PackTales never handles adoption fees or donations on a shelter’s behalf. We show you who they are and step out of the way, which is deliberate: money between you and a rescue should never have us in the middle of it.
